Juice fast: Day 4

Ten days left!

I've decided to allow myself some fresh fruits and veggies (again, raw), during the entirety, instead of just the first 4 or 5 days.  I'm not doing so well with nothing in my stomach except juice.  And I'm still losing weight, so I'm not too worried.  And since it's all fresh, it'll be good fiber to clean out my colon, and live enzymes, and good nutrients.

I came up with this great little snack for the in-between times.

Very Veggie Avocado Stackers

1/2 avocado
1 large zucchini
2 radishes
1 small cucumber
1 roma tomato
minced dill
a bit of garlic powder

Peel the zucchini and sliver to the width of a cracker (you will only need a 4 inch or so length of zucchini.  Spread the avocado on the zucchini "crackers".  Top with slivered radishes, cucumber, and tomato.  Sprinkle the dill and garlic over the top.
Voila!

It was actually pretty yummy, and it helped to just take the edge of the hunger.  And good for you?  Oh yes!

I exercised once again today.  I didn't feel sore at all this morning, or today...until this evening.  Now I'm beginning to feel it.  I also couldn't figure out why it was so hard to run this morning.  Then I discovered my dear husband had turned up the incline.  No wonder.

Am I struggling through all of this?  You bet.  I feel like I'm going to die when I run.  And it's all I can do not to grab a Cheez-it, that I am, for some reason, allowing the children to eat.  But mainly I'm craving healthy things...like homemade strawberry preserves over whole grain bread....or tacos...or a carmeled apple.
Okay, so maybe a carmeled apple isn't so good for you, but I'm craving it. :D
