Juice Fast: Day 2

Today has been way easier than yesterday.  I haven't had anything cooked or non-vegetable, aside from a very small bite of hotdog, I was giving to Haddie Jo, and forgot myself.

I don't really feel very hungry.  I didn't wake up hungry either.

I've drank one 24 oz glass of our basic green juice in the late morning, and had a few veggies and some fruit for lunch (all raw).  I've lost 5 lbs from Sunday night.

Pinterest is still killing me with all the yumminess that is tantalizing my eyes.

Some of you may ask, "Aren't you going to gain all of that weight back again when you're done?"

Well, the point is to maintain the weight lost by eating healthier, and controlling portion size better.  This sort of gives you a jump start, and helps boost the metabolism.  And really, who can deny a really full dose of vitamins and minerals?  Juicing can help "re-train" your tastebuds, so that sweet things are too sweet, and the desire is for healthier food, as opposed to the Standard American Diet (furthermore referred to as SAD).

The SAD is full of high fructose corn syrup (which causes 45% more weight gain than sugar alone...and you'd be surprised what contains high fructose corn syrup); White flour (which means all of the nutrition has been removed); Sugar (which has NO nutritional benefit at all, and does a great deal of harm to our bodies); and an overabundance of processed oils (which cause cholesterol issues...high counts of omega 6's, and obesity).

Our goal is to stay away from the SAD, and try to eat a TON more vegetables, and continue with whole grains, using more natural sweeteners and whole foods.
